He received many prestigious awards, including the Prime Minister’s Award and the Minister of Education Award at the Nitten Exhibition. His works are kept in the permanent collections of numerous public art museums throughout Japan. This woodblock print is a classic Mount Fuji-themed work by Konno Chūichi, officially published by the Diamond Art Print Promotion Foundation. The snow-capped Mount Fuji is set against a golden background. The mountain texture is realistically depicted with strong dimensional layers. The artist’s red seal is stamped in the lower right corner of the print. No outer frame (the original frame was accidentally damaged and discarded). The original backing board and mat are retained. The original label affixed to the backing board remains intact, recording the artist, work title and production year. Due to age, the paper shows slight natural yellowing and oxidation. Overall condition is good. This piece is sold without a frame. The photographs only illustrate the visual effect after framing.
