Set of 6 Silver Liqueur Cups - Late 19th Century
Set of 6 small liqueur cups, fine handcrafted silversmith work.
The pieces are hand-hammered from silver sheet, constructed in multiple parts (base, stem, bowl) and assembled by soldering. The decoration is not pressed: the walls are shaped by repoussé (hammered from the reverse) and further refined with hand chasing and punch work, resulting in lively, non-repetitive details.
Silver (minimum 800 fineness presumed). Marked pieces, the marks are heavily worn and no longer identifiable.
Central European workmanship (German / Austro-Hungarian), late 19th century, historicist (Rococo revival) style.
Sourced from France.
Dimensions: height approx. 5.3 cm, diameter approx. 4.3 cm.
Total weight: 141 g.
Condition: consistent with age, with signs of use and cleaning; marks worn.
