The watch features a superb cushion-shaped case with fixed wire lugs, a classic configuration associated with the earliest generations of men’s wristwatches. Its most striking feature is the beautiful period-style dial, combining large black Arabic numerals with an attractive red 13–24 hour military scale, together with subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. The skeletonised hands complete the unmistakable military/trench-watch aesthetic. Inside is an early Omega manual-winding calibre 26.5 SOB, signed: OMEGA Watch Co Swiss 15 Jewels Adjusted Two Positions Fifteen Jewels The inside of the case bears Swiss manufacturing markings, the Omega-related case-maker emblem and the inscription: MÉTAL – GARANTI 10 ANS The case is therefore described as a silver-tone base-metal case, most likely with a period nickel-type finish. The watch retains a wonderful authentic vintage appearance, with visible wear, scratches and marks accumulated over almost a century.
