Andrea Giorgi - THINKER

Andrea Giorgi was ranked among the TOP 10 sculptors of 2024 and among the TOP 50 artists out of 129,000 in 2025 on one of the leading online platforms specializing in art sales.Biography:Andrea Giorgi (b. 1974), born in Italy, worked as an interior designer for 10 years and then as a megayacht interior designer for 12 years. He was one of the first Italian digital artists to exhibit his works at international fairs and exhibitions starting in 2008. Some of his artworks decorate the luxurious salons of prestigious yachts. One of his pieces was purchased by Ferrero, becoming part of an important private collection of international contemporary art.A digital sculptor since 2016, his sculptures are now scattered all over the world. Andrea Giorgi was one of the first sculptors to sell on Catawiki, establishing himself as a pioneering figure since 2016 with his boxers, figures emerging from magazines and walls, and his lattice sculptures. Today, various artists on Catawiki and other platforms offer variants and reinterpretations of these very sculptures.Generally opposed to the current pop art and street art trend followed by too many artists today—who buy sculptures (often mass-produced, unfortunately) only to paint them and add famous logos without at least specifying that they did not create the sculpture themselves—Giorgi designs all his sculptures entirely using 3D techniques. He then prints them in Italy using different technologies, ranging from the simpler and more affordable plastic jet printing to the more complex and expensive laser prints. The laser-printed sculptures are then hand-painted by the artist. Finally, he collaborates with a renowned Italian foundry to produce his most exclusive series: lost-wax bronzes. Unlike most contemporary artists who seek quick success and try to maximize production and sales, Giorgi’s philosophy, learned from working for several years in the luxury industry, is "LESS IS MORE."His annual production and sales are deliberately very limited, both regarding the creation of new pieces and his weekly sales on Catawiki.Furthermore, it is almost impossible today to buy one of his pieces at auction without a reserve price. This is due both to the high production costs of most of his sculptures, which prevents selling them at a loss, and to safeguard the value of the sculptures already sold. In this way, the sculptures end up in the hands of collectors who almost never resell them until several years have passed, effectively preventing speculative purchases. Andrea Giorgi's sculptures are also nearly impossible to find elsewhere, as they are currently exclusive to Collection, a contemporary art gallery founded in 2015 by Giorgi himself. The gallery deals both with works by promising young Italian and European artists and with works by established, historicized artists including Rabarama, Walter Valentini, Piero Gilardi, Aubertin, Roberta Coni, Annalù Boeretto, Salvatore Provino, Paolo Radi, Ceribelli, Giuseppe Amadio, Riccardo Gusmaroli, Giorgio Gost, Invader, Kaws, etc.If you would like to learn more about the artist's complete artistic career, please visit the websites giorgiandrea.com and collectiongallery.it Certificate of Authenticity Provenance: COLLECTION, Contemporary Loft Art Gallery, Ancona, Italy Shipping method: Insured international courier PLEASE NOTE: We cannot ship to Russia, Belarus, and China.
