Descrizione del venditore

Beautiful specimen of Phacops trilobite from Morocco, preserved in excellent condition and virtually complete. The compound eyes retain remarkable definition, while the exoskeleton displays finely preserved details, including delicate surface patterns and raised structures that highlight its morphology. This fossil provides a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric marine life.

Phacops is an extinct genus of arthropods belonging to the trilobites. Fossils of this genus are relatively common in several parts of the world and are found in geological formations dating from the Silurian to the Devonian periods, approximately 430–360 million years ago.

The fossil from the ArteTerra collection has been paired with a solid wood display base, custom-made to enhance its beauty and scientific value. On the front surface of the base, a laser-engraved naturalistic illustration depicts the prehistoric animal to which the specimen belongs, reconstructed in its original environment. In the bottom right corner, the “Arte Terra – Fossil Mineral Design” logo is featured as a guarantee of authenticity and the artisanal craftsmanship of the product.
