Russia – Nicholas II – 5 Roubles 1902 – NGC MS65 – Gold An exceptional example of the classic Russian Imperial 5 Roubles gold coin from 1902, issued during the reign of Emperor Nicholas II. The coin has been professionally authenticated and graded by NGC as MS65, confirming its outstanding Mint State preservation. Highlights * NGC MS65 * Strong and attractive original mint lustre * Excellent overall eye appeal * Sharp and well-preserved details * Very clean fields for the type * Beautiful warm gold colour * Highly collectible Imperial Russian gold issue The coin presents exceptionally well in hand, with powerful cartwheel mint lustre visible across both sides and only very minor contact marks consistent with the assigned grade. In my opinion, the visual quality is particularly strong for MS65, and the coin may be of interest to collectors looking for a premium-quality example. Due to its attractive surfaces and strong lustre, it could also be considered as a possible candidate for regrading/upgrading, although naturally no higher grade can ever be guaranteed.
