Hennessy Le Peu Single Distillery Cognac was released in 1998 as a limited edition to showcase terroir-driven Cognac, a departure from Hennessy's usual blends. This expression is sourced exclusively from the Le Peu distillery in Juillac-le-Coq, Grande Champagne, the most highly regarded cru of the Cognac region.
Made from Ugni Blanc grapes and aged in French oak barrels, this bottling is composed of eaux-de-vie aged between 7 and 25 years. The nose is described by Hennessy as delicate aromas of vine flowers and fresh chestnuts.
This series consisted of only three distilleries: Le Peu (Grande Champagne), Camp Romain and Izambard. Le Peu is widely considered the most desirable of the three.
