Northern Goldsmiths Company – Set of 6 Sterling Silver & Guilloché Enamel Demitasse Spoons – Original Case A charming and highly decorative set of six British sterling silver demitasse / coffee spoons, presented in their original fitted case from the Northern Goldsmiths Company, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Each spoon features a beautifully decorated bowl with translucent coloured enamel applied over a finely engine-turned guilloché ground. The six spoons are finished in different vibrant colours, creating the characteristic and highly attractive “Harlequin” effect. The slender silver stems terminate in contrasting dark finials. The reverse of the bowls bears British silver hallmarks. The complete set of six is preserved in its original silk-lined fitted presentation case, marked “Northern Goldsmiths Company, Newcastle-on-Tyne”. A particularly attractive example of early 20th-century British silver and enamel work, combining colourful guilloché decoration with elegant proportions and original presentation.
