Comodino (2) - Legno, Vetro

A splendid pair of bedside tables, handcrafted in Italy in the 1950s–1960s, made of wood with glass shelves.

This pair of pieces evokes the Art Deco style, and more specifically that of post-war Italy. The design is slender, with straight, tapered legs, and features a combination of light-coloured wood and coloured glass.

The frame features solid wood edging, with veneered fronts, sides and drawers. The legs and uprights are made of solid wood, with original brass drawer fittings that have never been replaced.

The pair features a glass shelf at the top, supported by two wooden sections. The top features panes of coloured glass as shown in the photograph.
