The Macallan Concept No. 1 is a limited-edition, travel-retail release inspired by surrealist art and innovative whisky making. Matured first in sherry-seasoned oak casks and then for an equal period in ex-bourbon casks, it offers a distinctive and imaginative expression.
The aroma features sweet butterscotch toffee, almond, ginger and cinnamon, with hints of dried fruit, citrus and green banana. On the palate, sweet orange and lemon mingle with fresh fruit, ginger and soft oak spice. The finish is medium-sweet and dry, with lingering oak, citrus and ginger notes.
