The meaning of 9.58 and the number 3

The name of the edition, 9.58, celebrates Usain Bolt’s legendary 100m world record, set in Berlin on 16 August 2009.
At that same championship, Bolt won three gold medals: 100m, 200m and 4×100m relay.
The number 3 of this copy recalls that Berlin 2009 “triple gold”: three golds in a single World Championship, together with the 9.58-second world record, which still stands.
Bolt is also the only athlete to have achieved the “triple triple”: three golds (100m, 200m, 4×100m) at three consecutive Olympic Games — Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016.
