Beautiful Antique Cornelian Agate Necklace Originating from Iran. Approximately 50cm in length and weighs approximately 76g. This beautiful handmade necklace has knots of gold thread in between each gem a craftsmanship know to be common in Ottoman times. It’s central agate is heart like in shape. The individual agates have been hand shaped into small diamond and hexagonal edges. They are natural cornelians that have not been processed, refined or colour treated in any way. This necklace has a beautiful history dating back to the Ottoman era when trade from different nations was at it’s peak. These beads were very possibly used at trade beads at the time. Fully functional and in excellent condition. Will be shipped with great care and insurance.
