This beauty has been jealously guarded in the box for years. The pen has a very sturdy and robust appearance: it features a celluloid body, a tri-color 18c smooth and flexible nib, round ebonite groves face and shank feed, single unit barrel construction and two stage telescoping piston. This can be dated to circa 1955-1960 and consider one of the classical early Montblanc 149s that are cherished by collectors. Cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, monograms, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The piston knob is stamped with "149". There's an ink window in mild amber. NOTE: the telescoping filling mechanism was tested with water and fills and expels as it should, in two stages. By repeating this you can completely clean the ink window.
