Vaso - Bronzo - Francia - Napoleone III

Amazing and unique vase on a bronze base from the Napoleopn II period.
Upper part is jasmine-shaped and T-handles with a body decorated in relief with birds & plant scrolls - Japanese work from 11th century.

French bronze base/stand made during the reign of Napoleon III (ca. 1860) with Japanese patterns and a Foo dog head.

A high quality object typical of the Japonism movement in France at that time. There is an almost identical copy in the Chinese Museum of Empress Eugenie, in the Museum of the Castle of Fontainebleau.

Formerly wired. The assembly is a little fragile.
