Philips - Elettronico 22-AF 777/00 - Giradischi

Philips 777 in great condition! In fully original condition. This turntable features a unique (for a belt drive system) speed feedback with a magneto-electrical pickup that measures the speed. It shows the current speed with 3 LEDs: too slow, spot on, or too fast. Can't be easier. The speed has been precisely adjusted using a frequency counter. It uses a spring-mounted sub chassis and a sub-platter construction similar to Thorens, however I would argue this tonearm outperforms many Thorens stock tonearms. Also unique: a very cool and useful stylus pressure gauge is built-in! So it's dead simple to dial in the correct stylus pressure. The cartridge is the original Philips 400 which can be easily upgraded with another elliptical stylus or even a Shibata, the options are endless with this one. The automatism works flawlessly: detection of record size, auto return, start point... Start point can be easily adjusted by hand from the tonearm, brilliant! I've set it quite tight to not miss any grooves but you can make it a bit looser if it misses some of your records. SPECS: Philips plastic 2-speed chassis Turntable diameter 32 cm Metal sub-chassis Synchronous motor Belt drive Wow and flutter 0.05% (WRMS) Rumble (original) -65 dB, (-43 dB DIN A) (is now much lower but I don't have official equipment to measure it) Pitch control +/- 3% with LED indication Automatic determination of plate diameter Mechanical automatic shut-off
