The painting was made in 2025. It´s made of acrylics and oil pastels on canvas.

This painting is part of a series based on famous paintings of women in different time periods.
Talking to a fellow atelier colleague, who happens to be Boticelli expert, the artist found the topic of the famous Boticelli painting "Flora". This painting is based on that Boticelli painting, but supposed to be a Berlin version in more contemporary style. It is showing the spring celebration of fertility an beauty blossoming every start of the year and can be seen as selfportrait of the artist.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
paintress AME DGD (*1995) living and working in Berlin. AME DGD is a self-taught paintress since 4 years specializing in a technique that involves bold, high-contrast colors. Figures are abstracted into shapes and colors only. The artist sold over 200 artworks in the last years, some buyers being well-known collectors. In the past 4 years she exhibited in over 20 exhibitions (including big art fairs like BAAM and HAAM but also in galleries like Galerie Pankow). Additionally AME DGD curates her own Group Show Project of young emerging artists called "Studio Unbekannt" in the Galerie ErsterErster (Berlin), having organized 4 exhibitions by now.
