Girard-Perregaux - "Sea Hawk II Pro" - 18 Carat Pink Gold/Titanium - Limited Edition - Power Reserve - Ref. No: 49940-26-632-FK6A - Uomo - 2010-2020

Welcome to my Top Swiss Wrist Watches Boutique: Girard-Perregaux SA is a luxury Swiss watch manufacture with its origins dating back to 1791: more than two centuries of craftsmanship and perpetual commitment to perfection. In 1791, watchmaker and goldsmith Jean-François Bautte signed his first watches. He created a manufacturing company in Geneva, grouping for the first time ever all the watchmaking facets of that time. This included the engineering of the watch all the way to the final hand-assembly and hand-polishing of each piece. In 1832, Jacques Bautte and Jean-Samuel Rossel succeeded Jean Bautte, becoming the head of the company. In 1852, the watchmaker Constant Girard founded Girard & Cie in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. He then married Marie Perregaux in 1854, and the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture was founded in 1856. In 1906, Constant Girard-Gallet, who took over control of the Manufacture from his father, acquired the Bautte House and merged it with Girard-Perregaux & Cie. Since 1999, the Villa Marguerite, building in La Chaux-de-Fonds from the beginning of the 20th century, has housed the Girard-Perregaux-Museum: selection of old watches, illustrating glorious history of famous brand. The Sea Hawk is a line of professional diving and sports watches, first introduced in the 1940s. Originally military-style watches with manual movements, it has evolved into a modern line with features like automatic movements, rotating bezels, and high water resistance, with some later versions reaching up to 3000m. A distinctive feature across the modern Sea Hawk models is the crown positioned at 04:00 o'clock and ensures maximum comfort. The crown cap, whose shape reminds of the air intake of a racing car, houses the date correction. The caseback is secured with six Allen screws - like a race car - and has a sapphire crystal which allows a clear view of the handmade movement. Movement: - in-house self-winding caliber GP033R0 - 27 jewels - power-reserve: 46 hours - frequency: 28.800 vph, 4 Hz Case: - titanium - 44mm excl. crown, 47,5mm incl. - 19,8mm thick - length: 57mm lug to lug - unique limited number Ti/OR No. 55, best confirmation of authenticity Bezel: - 18 carat pink gold - diver's 0 - 60 - unidirectional turning Sapphire crystal: - anti-reflective - flat Solid titanium case-back with naval engraving (see pics) Crown: - 18 carat pink gold - polished - screwed-down with raised GP logo shield - push/pull Dial: - black carbon - luminescent hands and hour batons - date aperture at 01:30 o'clock - power reserve sub-dial at 06:00 o'clock - minute markers along the outer circle - excellent readability day and night Strap: - black rubber - original Girard Perregaux - length: full size, ca. 24cm, incl. the watch itself - width: 23mm by lugs, 20mm by clasp Clasp: - titanium - double folding "butterfly" - two security pushers - with "GP" logo Weight: 159 grams Water-resistant 3000meters/30ATM/9900feet, real diver!
