Antique (Military Cavalry) Saddle. Probably late 19th–Early 20th Century, WWI-Era. Not dated. Fair condition, see pictures. Description Old (military-type cavalry) saddle with features commonly seen on Continental European patterns Exact maker, country, and model are not confirmed. Identification is based solely on visual characteristics; please study the photos and draw your own conclusions. Notable details include: • Tall front pommel with small leather-covered cap • Substantial rear cantle with reinforced leather edging • Round rosette fittings and riveted seat panels • Thick, deeply aged leather with edge tooling • Inventory stamp “24547.2” on the flap • Yellow felt-style panel padding that appears period A handsome, suitable for a militaria collection, display, or reenactment use (after appropriate inspection and fitting).
