Created after the Second World War in Avize, the Maison Jacques Selosse has been run since 1974 by Anselme, son of founder Jacques, and his son Guillaume. The Champagnes of this house have established themselves as references to the region, thanks to their commendable standards of perfection. We are not surprised, therefore, that they are extremely appreciated by enthusiasts and praised by critics. Covering eight hectares of vineyards, the estate produces less than 60,000 bottles a year. The vineyard is cultivated from a biodynamic perspective, although the owners have chosen not to obtain certifications to maintain a certain margin of manoeuvre. The vineyards are grassed and the soils are worked with the plow and the horse. Aged in barriques, these wines of character offer a tasting experience full of emotions, which may surprise newcomers to this type of Champagne.
