Beautiful image of Goddess Victoria made of bronze with a two-tone patina. This creates a beautiful division between dress and skin. Image placed on a pedestal of red marble. 

Victoria is the Roman goddess of victory. A palm leaf or the tree itself is one of the most common features of victory in ancient Rome. Similarly, a palm branch and laurel wreath was awarded to victorious athletes in ancient Greece.  In works of art, Victoria is often depicted with wings, in accordance with Greek Mythology (Goddess Nike/Nice) with which she can overcome any obstacle or problem. In her appearance, Victoria resembles Athena, but Victoria wears a palm branch, laurel wreath, and has wings or not.

The sculpture is in excellent condition. Only a light oxidation spot on the back. (see photo) However, given its age, this does not detract from aesthetics or the value of this image.
