Serviced Commodore 1541C Disk Drive - New Capacitors - Incl. Demo Disk

Up for auction is a professionally refurbished Commodore 1541C disk drive. This is the later "beige/white" model, originally released to match the C64C, and is known for its improved internal electronics compared to the older brown models.

This unit has been fully serviced to ensure long-term reliability:

- Full Recap: All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with high-quality new ones (brands: Nichicon, Panasonic, Vishay).

- Mechanical Overhaul: The drive was completely disassembled, cleaned, and re-lubricated. The rails were treated with silicone oil and the spindle with machine oil for smooth operation.

- Calibration & Testing: The drive head has been cleaned and the unit has been tested for alignment. It loads software quickly and quietly.

- Updated Aesthetics: The original power and status LEDs were replaced with fresh ones, as the originals had become dim over time.
