Beschrijving van de verkoper

Softcover with dustjacket, unpaginated; in English and Japanese; as new condition; clean and crisp.
"To Nirvana and Back" is a 2003 photobook by acclaimed Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama that documents his photographic exploration of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale (ETAT). Moriyama was inspired by ETAT's use of flowers for a festival poster and later visited to photograph the stage performance "The Real Lear in Echigo-Tsumari" and the surrounding satoyama landscape. The book captures Moriyama's unusual color photographs of the village and flowers, which blend into a larger contemplation of life and the relationship between humans and nature.
