Up for auction is a nice and RARE 1943 copy of the United States Army Technical Manual TM 30-344 entitled "Russian: A Guide to the Spoken Language". It covers many useful Russian words and phrases. This booklet has some black-and-white illustrations to accompany the instructional text; these booklets were issued to the troops just prior to the invasion of Europe, to facilitate interrogation and communication of/between Russian nationals, captured POW's, captured enlisted Russians in German army, etc. In great condition for its age, except for the last page, which was ripped out (but this contained no text).
