This edition is probably a 'transition' bottling around 1951-1952 Produced in Tarragona, Spain, where the monks opened a distillery following their expulsion from the Grande Chartreuse by the authorities of the Third Republic, then governed by the fiercely anticlerical Emile Combes, after the Left Bloc's victory in the 1902 elections.
