In 2003 and 2004, Don McCullin traveled from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to the Omo Valley, a river that flows south to the Sudanese border. Here he visited the tribal areas of the Surma, the Gheleb, the Dassanech, the Bume, the Erbore, the Bene, the Bodi, the Karo, the Hamar, and the Mursi.
