In this work, I wanted to capture a moment of silence and inner light — the state of being alone with oneself. I have always been fascinated by the human body not just as an object, but as a living architecture filled with breath, energy, and vulnerability. The male figure sits with his back to the viewer, framed by a niche of cold stone tiles. Against this rigid surface, the body appears especially warm and alive — almost breathing. The light falling from above shapes the muscular relief and turns the back into a kind of landscape — mountains touched by a ray of light. While creating this piece, I paid special attention to light and texture. The stone wall was built up with relief paste (impasto) to give it depth and tactile contrast. The skin tones were achieved through multilayered oil glazing to convey the warmth and living quality of flesh. I aimed for a hyperrealistic effect, not for photographic accuracy, but to express presence, stillness, and emotional intensity. The white rose at the bottom appeared intuitively — to me, it symbolizes a fleeting moment of tenderness and light within a world of stone.
