You are bidding on a very fine and rare old 4/4 violin, labeled ... Enrico Marchetti ... nell' anno 1909. The instrument is in good condition with no cracks. The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple. The whole length of the violin is 587 mm and the back 358 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 163 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 203 mm. Deep reddish varnish with some tears and wears. Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions.
