The series was exhibited in NYC, Tokyo, London and Paris amongst other cities. It was published amongst others, in the UK TIMES and The Guardian, and one of the images was even exhibited as a BILLBOARD in TIME SQUARE in NYC!

The series is an allegory for the self-conflicted individual, the one lost in self-doubt and fear. Fulfillment in the form of swimming is easily within reach, but to the character, it is miles away, simply unattainable.

ELENA PARASKEVA was named PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR (2024/2023/2021/2018) by 4 different, distinguished international photographic societies.
She is an Alumni of HASSELBLAD MASTERS, WORLD MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY, LENSCULTURE, AESTHETICA, PRIX DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE PARIS etc
She exhibited in prestigious galleries and during Biennales in NYC, Paris, Tokyo, London, Vienna, Barcelona, Munich, Sao Paolo (Brazil), Florence, Frankfurt, Malaga (Spain), Linz(Austria), Gratz(Austria), Sienna(Italy), Kuala Lumpur etc.

She even exhibited at the EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT in Brussels and had her work exhibited as a billboard in TIMES SQUARE, NYC!
