Item Description - This is a collection of three distinctive vintage Sosaku Kokeshi (Creative Kokeshi) dolls, each showcasing the unique style of its award-winning creator. Sosaku Kokeshi are modern versions of the traditional Kokeshi, celebrated for their expressive design and decorative painting, typically featuring wood turned on a lathe. - Kokeshi Doll (Left, by Yogetsu): Created by the prize-winning artist Yogetsu, this doll has dark hair and a body richly painted with vibrant yellow and orange flowers, conveying a beautiful, warm atmosphere. - Kokeshi Doll (Center, by Koyano Kenji): Signed by the prize-winning artist Koyano Kenji, this piece is titled "Otome" (Maiden). It has bright, natural wood-colored long hair. Kokeshi Doll (Right) Artist: Tanaka Kojo (田中晃常). Born in 1968, he founded Tanaka Toys in Gunma Prefecture. A recipient of awards at the All Japan Kokeshi Contest, Tanaka Kojo is known for his unique style of depicting a girl's face that distinguishes his work from other Kokeshi artists, gaining him significant popularity. His son, Tanaka Shigemi (known as "Kokeshige"), now runs the "Kojo Kokeshi Studio."
