Both pieces are crafted with a hammered brass surface, giving them a textured and shimmering appearance. Adjustment marks can be seen around the nakago-ana (central opening). The larger guard does not have a kozuka opening, while the smaller one does. Signs of age include scuffs, small scratches, and natural patina from long use. The wooden box shows pin holes, some stains, scratches, and a split on the underside. Please refer to the photos for full details of condition. Dimensions: approx.
