Historic Note The Vanwall Streamliner (VW6) was a special, ultra-aerodynamic car built for the high-speed 1957 French Grand Prix at Reims, tested in practice by Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks, but not raced in the Grand Prix itself; drivers Stuart Lewis-Evans & Roy Salvadori used it in practice, finding it difficult, so the team reverted to the standard VW5 for the main event, though the Streamliner later appeared at Monza.
