Máscara Noh - Madeira - Okina avô (Sem preço de reserva)

This is a "Okina 爺" wooden Noh mask. The origin of the Okina mask is said to trace back to ancient Japanese religious ceremonies and rituals. Even before the Noh theater was established, the figure of Okina was used in sacred settings and was indispensable in rituals praying for people's happiness and a bountiful harvest. As Noh developed, Okina was systematized as a celebratory performance called shūgen, during which the Okina mask began to be used. In Noh, the Okina mask holds a special ceremonial role. Unlike regular performances, "Okina" itself is a sacred ritual, and performers perform purification rituals such as washing their hands before putting on the mask. As a symbol that brings happiness and safety to the audience, the Okina mask continues to be cherished and preserved to this day. This mask, believed to have been made in the early 1900s, shows signs of age, including paint peeling, scratches, dirt, and chips. Shipping method: DHL for overseas, Sagawa or Yamato for Japan
