The Niche item holder was designed by Zaha Hadid in 2009 for Alessi. Crafted from black melamine, the holder consists of 5 distinct elements that can be assembled in multiple configurations. The name ''Niche'' implies some specific part of a large whole which refers to each piece of the holder that can be assembled as one. Niche is a perfect example of Hadid's explorational style towards fragmentary geometry and fluid forms. Zaha Hadid: Zaha Hadid (1950 - 2016) was a British Iraqi architect who studied at the Architectural Association in London, where she qualified in 1977.
