Max Ernst (1891-1976) (after) - "Fleurs de Neige, 1929" - (70x90cm)

- Max Ernst (after), authorized offset lithograph on heavyweight smooth satin paper (300gsm approx.). - Size: 70 x 90cm. - Stamp on verso. - Discontinued item. Closed edition, available only in the secondary market (auctions, resellers, galleries, etc.) - Condition: very good. Never framed, never exposed. - Max Ernst (1891–1976) was a German-born artist and one of the leading pioneers of Dada and Surrealism. He is renowned for his experimental techniques, including frottage, grattage, collage, and decalcomania, which allowed him to create dreamlike and often unsettling imagery. Ernst’s work explores the unconscious, mythology, and the irrational, making him a central figure in 20th-century avant-garde art. Today, Ernst’s original paintings achieve multi-million-euro prices at major international auctions, while his prints and graphic works remain highly collectible, reflecting his enduring influence and strong market demand. Fleurs de Neige (1929) exemplifies Ernst’s Surrealist language. The composition presents abstract, biomorphic forms floating against a dark background, resembling strange flowers or cosmic organisms. The work evokes a mysterious, dreamlike atmosphere, suggesting natural growth transformed into something fantastical. Through layered textures and unconventional shapes, Ernst explores metamorphosis and subconscious imagery, hallmarks of his mature Surrealist period. Some artists of similar importance, Basquiat, Picasso, Hockney, Lichtenstein, Sorolla, Banksy, Brainwash, Miró, Nara, Soulages, Lagasse, Ramos, Rothko, Lautrec, Klimt, Matisse, Hirst, Chagall, Koons, Haring, Indiana, Mondrian, Groening, Richter, Monroe, Kusama, Murakami, Testa, Villemot, Oldenburg, Hopper, Ripolles, Wesselmann, Magritte, Jenk, Orlinski, Wille, Rizzi, Manara, Thiebaud, Herrera, Laurent, Klein, Coa, Dior, Vuitton, Kaws, Valentino, Cappiello, Kandinsky, Warhol, Buffa, Tura, Castle, Ponti, Knoll, Corbusier, rober, Johns, Starck, Breuer, Nelson, Mogensen, Ponti, Bertoia, Urquiola, Chillida.
