It is a nice, mysterious looking medium size Basilosaurus canine teeth. The teeth reveals complex mix of coloration as well as fossilization. However, the characteristic dark brown color of the crown of the teeth is evident and light color root is also distinctively visible. The teeth shows complex fossilization & mineralization processes in action.
The teeth has been restored at the top and its visible clearly in photos.
It is important to mention that its hard to distinguish the teeth so its possible that this canine belong to other Basilosauridae member like Durodon for example.
All in all, its a nice specimen of Basilosaurus which rules the shallow seas in Late Eocene Epoch, roughly 40 to 34 million years ago.
