Born June 28, 1954 in Barcelona, Spain. Attends Barcelona University, 1972. Attends Sant Jordi Fine Arts School in Barcelona, where he paints landscapes in oils, 1973. Lives on the isolated Cabrera Island, whose landscape influences his work, 1975-1976. Lives in Granada, where he makes the acquaintance of scientists at the Andalusia Institute of Astrophysics and frequently visits the astronomy observatory in the Sierra Nevada. He visits Paris, where he sees the art of Paul Klee and Joan Miró, 1978. Travels through central and southern Spain, and begins to collect archetypal objects like mills, bell towers, 1979. Travels to Morocco, 1987. Spends time in Japan, where he becomes interested in the ancient temples in Kansai, 1991.
