Paola Geranio is a contemporary Italian painter, studied painting with master Mario Bergamaschi, graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and collaborated with art galleries in Italy and abroad. She undertakes a personal study of color, portraiture and light, based on in-depth studies of the technique used by great artists such as Georges Rouault and Jenny Saville. Painting research characterizes her path consistently, a continuous journey of exploration, marked by a dedication to traditional techniques and the ever-changing landscape of artistic innovation. His paintings narrate an introspective journey, in search of connection with the deeper self. The face that is flesh and blood becomes obsession, reflected in textural details and looks, amid folds and vibrant plays of color. The confident, charged brushstrokes and the use of color with references to reality places the work between the figurative and a place of the unconscious.
