Unsigned but very characteristic Art Nouveau glass vase, features a hand-painted or etched landscape scene with a prominent dark tree in the foreground against a vibrant orange and red sunset backdrop.  A "paysage lacustre" (lake landscape) motif, showing a serene water scene with mountains and silhouetted trees. Dominated by intense orange and red tones that mimic a glowing sunset, contrasted with deep black silhouettes for the landscape elements. While unsigned, this style is highly characteristic of several renowned French glassmakers from the early 20th century: Muller Frères (Lunéville), Daum Nancy, Richard, Luetz, Paul Nicolas.
