Massive en suberb Silver and Gold necklace with Amulet box (Hirz).

This spectacular necklace of silver and gold is one of the finest examples of its type .
A similar example is found in the Kuwaits Tareq Rajab Museum,

It comprises a single strand of spiky,seed pot like silver beads. The large silver Amulet box decorated with gold sheet panels. With multiple silver chain tassels.
The end of the necklace are capped with long beads of wrapped silver wire,which are themselves typical for Omani jewellery work.

Such a spectacular display of wealth would only have been worn at times of important festivities such as those association with marriage celebrations.

The necklace is in excellent condition. All the elements are threaded onto the original thick cotton twine structure. The necklace is stable and wearable

Overall, it is a museum quality piece in term of its originality and complexity for ethnic jewellery.
