This auction presents a remarkably well-preserved example of a vintage Disney Pluto nightlight, produced by the esteemed German manufacturer Heico (Heinze & Co.). Known among collectors for their high-quality "Traumleuchten" (Dream Lamps), Heico’s collaboration with Disney in the late 20th century resulted in some of the most sought-after character lamps in the European market.
This specific model, cataloged as Art. 63.574, is an authentic piece of mid-century Disneyana. Unlike modern thin-gauge plastic alternatives, this lamp is constructed from a thick, specialty PVC that was hand-painted and designed to withstand the heat of a light source while emitting a characteristic warm, ambient glow. The design language reflects the "Golden Era" of Pluto’s character design, featuring his iconic inquisitive expression, outstretched tongue, and vibrant green collar.
