The SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/1.4 is a compact, fast standard lens produced from 1977 to 1984 as part of Pentax's acclaimed M-series. With 7 elements in 6 groups, 8 aperture blades, and Pentax's Super-Multi-Coating (SMC), it delivers excellent sharpness and beautiful bokeh.

Compatible with all Pentax K-mount film SLRs and Pentax digital SLRs, as well as modern mirrorless cameras via adapter.

IMPORTANT — Please read carefully:
There is severe haze caused by balsam separation on the rear element. This produces a noticeable soft focus / low contrast effect in images. This is NOT a clean lens — it is priced as a bargain item. However, the dreamy, low-contrast rendering can produce distinctive, atmospheric photographs that many photographers actively seek for creative and portrait work. The mechanical condition of the lens is excellent.
