beautiful silver medal (silver hallmark on the edge, with an eagle's head) issued for the Toulouse Horticultural Exhibition organized by the Horticultural Society of Haute-Garonne, from April 21 to 29, 1877.
Obverse: A stunning neoclassical allegorical composition depicting a goddess of abundance surrounded by putti and figures symbolizing nature, fruits, and harvests. Signed at the bottom: A. BORREL F. (Alfred Borrel, renowned medal engraver, active in the 19th century) and BESCHER ED. (publisher).
Reverse: Finely detailed floral and fruit wreath, with the inscription in the center:
