Artistic Technique: Chinkin (沈金)
The design is created using the sophisticated Chinkin technique. This involves engraving delicate lines onto the lacquered surface with a fine chisel and then filling the grooves with pure gold leaf. The shimmering gold lines against the deep black lacquer beautifully capture the elegance of bush clover swaying in the autumn breeze.
