Walking Le Dog is unquestionably one of Michael Joseph's most memorable early compositions. Condition

Very good overall condition for an original silver gelatin print now more than sixty years old. The photograph retains excellent tonal depth and surface quality. Close examination reveals a few gentle signs of age and handling consistent with its vintage nature. Along the right-hand edge, the thick fibre-based photographic paper exhibits a slight undulation or waviness, a natural characteristic often encountered in hand-processed darkroom prints of this period and entirely consistent with their age and traditional manufacture. This subtle movement in the paper should be regarded as part of the print's authentic vintage character rather than a flaw. The reverse retains the original Harley Street studio stamp together with historic mounting tape, further reinforcing its provenance and working history.
