for sale traditional dagger. A living testimony to history and cultural fusion, this traditional Yemeni jambiya dagger transcends the role of a simple weapon, becoming a true collector's item and a symbol of dignity.
Every detail of this piece bears the mark of time and the craftsmanship of oriental artisans:
A story written in silver and steel: Its robust blade, with an elegant curved line and a prominent central rib, speaks of the ancestral tradition of blacksmiths in the Arabian Peninsula.
A bridge between two worlds: The handle carved in firm lines, made of hardwood, conceals a fascinating and rare detail — a Russian imperial coin from 1914. The image of Saint George slaying the dragon, struck in silver at the dawn of World War I, traveled along the old trade routes to become the badge of honor of a Yemeni warrior.
Filigree craftsmanship: The upper part of the scabbard is clad in handmade silver armor, where hundreds of tiny beads and intertwined metal threads create a mesmerizing geometric relief, a testament to the infinite patience of ancient jewelers.
Explosion of color and tradition: In perfect contrast to the patina of the metal, the curvature of the scabbard is clad in vibrant emerald green textile threads. This extends naturally into a wide black velvet belt, hand-embroidered with metal thread volutes and rosettes in relief of warm brick red.
Authenticity preserved over time: Seen from the back, the support made of natural camel or calf leather, coarsely sewn with green string, along with the textile lining of the belt, shows that the piece was created to be worn with pride during moments of celebration and in the ceremonial dances of the desert.
