Up for sale is a stunning piece of tobaccoriana history: an authentic, vintage Colibri Monopol automatic petrol lighter.
This iconic lighter features the famous mechanism patented by Julius Löwenthal. When the side lever is pressed, the arm flips up swiftly, strikes the flint, and lights the wick instantly. As seen in the photos, this lighter is in excellent mechanical condition and is fully functional, producing a strong, reliable flame.
Aesthetics: Gorgeous Art Deco engine-turned (guilloché) geometric pattern on the body.
Monogram: Features an elegant, engraved oval cartouche on the front with the initials "MCB".
Bottom Markings: Fully stamped with "COLIBRI MONOPOL", "SWISS MADE PATENT", and "BRIT. PAT. '321323'.
Functional: Sparks easily and lights consistently. Excellent spring tension on the mechanism.
