An authentic post-war French 81mm Brandt-pattern mortar projectile, manufactured by ARS (Atelier de Construction de Rennes) in 1947. This impressive display piece retains its original brass nose fuze, complete Mle 1935 fin assembly and brass CF base cartridge. A striking example of French military engineering and an excellent addition to any militaria collection.
The Brandt 81mm mortar became one of the world's most influential mortar designs, adopted and copied by numerous armies throughout the 20th century. This example was manufactured shortly after WWII and bears a 3-56 arsenal reinspection mark, linking it to the early Cold War period.
