Title The Immaculate Conception in an Architectural Tabernacle Frame

Dimensions: Overall size with the frame is 60cm x 43cm and the painting itself measured at 34cm x 26cm
A early Bolognese depiction of The Immaculate Conception dating from the mid to late 17th century. Most likely a preparatory larger altepiece painting the painting has been composed onto very early card and has been laid into a wooden panel with an interleaf lining with the use of a heat activated conservation adhesive that is reversible.
The painting is in a later most likely 18th century tabernacle frame and is behind 99% anti - UV trueview glazing of museum standard.
A highly small decorative and beautiful early painting which will present beautifully in the right environment.
Condition report: The painting has been cleaned with some small areas of retouching. There is a tiny old tear to the apex of the card but it's virtually invisible unless looked at very closely.
