The Skull – Mulher Eterna
Contemporary sculpture in a limited edition of 45 examples — Exclusive to Starck Gallery
An immediately recognizable silhouette whose true construction only reveals itself upon closer inspection.
With **“The Skull”**, Spanish artist Andy Pop revisits one of the most universal symbols in the history of art: the human skull. Here, however, its structure is completely reinvented. The entire sculpture is composed of a multiplicity of **corpos femininos entrelaçados e sobrepostos dispostos em diferentes posições**, gradualmente formando os volumes, cavidades e contornos do crânio.
From a distance, the work appears as a powerful and highly graphic contemporary sculpture. As the viewer moves closer, a second interpretation gradually emerges: legs, arms, silhouettes and feminine curves begin to reveal themselves within the composition.
The skull thus becomes a work with a dual reading, positioned at the crossroads of **anatomy, abstraction and contemporary Pop Art**.
**Andy Pop works exclusively with Starck Gallery, his sole representing gallery.**
### Uma obra que vai se revelando aos poucos
The unique character of **“The Skull”** lies in this complex accumulation of human forms.
Each silhouette contributes directly to the overall construction of the sculpture: some shape the forehead and temples, while others form the eye sockets, cheekbones, jawline and upper part of the skull.
Depending on the viewing angle and lighting, certain figures become immediately visible, while others seem to merge into the composition before gradually revealing themselves.
This constant interaction between the overall form of the skull and the numerous details that compose it makes the work particularly compelling to observe from different angles.
### A technically complex creation
The sculpture is based on highly detailed three-dimensional modelling.
The multitude of overlapping volumes, negative spaces between the silhouettes and numerous variations in depth require an extremely precise production process.
The creation of a single example requires approximately **3 days of continuous printing**. This production time does not include the various essential post-printing stages: **careful removal of supports, cleaning, detailed inspection and manual finishing**.
Each sculpture therefore receives individual finishing work in order to preserve the delicacy of the relief and the clarity of the overall composition.
The work is made from **PLA, resin and mixed materials**, and is carefully inspected before presentation.
### Limited edition of 45 examples
**“The Skull”** is offered in a strictly limited edition of **45 individually numbered examples worldwide**.
Each example is accompanied by a **certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and stamped by Starck Gallery**.
Andy Pop works exclusively with **Starck Gallery**, which is the artist’s sole representing gallery and the exclusive gallery for his works.
**Gallery price: €445**
