Black Matter N1 explores the expressive power of black beyond the absence of color. Its richly textured surface creates a landscape of subtle reliefs where tiny white accents emerge like distant particles of light suspended within an infinite space.

Rather than imposing a defined image, the work invites prolonged contemplation. As the viewer approaches, the dense material reveals intricate topographies, hidden rhythms, and an unexpected sense of movement. The small white traces interrupt the darkness with delicate moments of tension, giving the composition a quiet but unmistakable pulse.

Throughout the day, changing natural and artificial light transforms the appearance of the artwork. Shadows deepen, highlights awaken, and the textured surface continually reveals new details, allowing the piece to present a different aspect of itself depending on the time, the surrounding environment, and the observer’s perspective.
